About the Department
Political Science and Public Administration is a multidisciplinary department that focuses on political and administrative issues. The department examines the basic institutions that we can call the state anatomy such as legislature, executive, judiciary; it also examines the decision and policy making processes which constitute the physiology of the state. The department includes departments of Management Sciences, Law Sciences, Urbanization and Environmental Problems and Political and Social Sciences.
The Department of Political Science and Public Administration aims to improve the administrative skills of students as well as to maximize their level of knowledge with the courses they have opened in accordance with their interests. At the same time, our department tries to gain students new perspectives on understanding the nature of political, administrative, economic, social, cultural issues encountered in daily life and generating solutions.
The department of Political Science and Public Administration has been expanded and enriched with main courses in departments such as economics, business administration, management information systems, and international relations, as well as basic courses of the department. In addition, elective courses for students' interests constitute an important part of the program.
Our Aim
The purpose of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration is to provide the necessary philosophical and scientific infrastructure for analyzing the events taking place in Turkey and in the world and finding solutions to the problems. In other words, the students are trying to gain the ability to comprehend the facts from the point of view of political science and public administration. In the courses conducted according to the scientific principles, the knowledge level of the students is increased to the highest level and the managerial skills that should be found in a manager are also tried to be gained. In addition to all these, it is also aimed to provide the students with the necessary knowledge and skills for researching and working among the disciplines.
