General Information

About the Program

Political Science and Public Administration is a multidisciplinary program that focuses on political and administrative issues. On the one hand, it deals with the basic functions of the state, such as the legislative, the executive, and the judiciary; on the other hand, it examines the decision and policy making processes that constitute the physiology of the state. In our program, there are four basic departments such as Political and Social Sciences, Public Management, Legal Studies and Urbanization and Environmental Issues.

Political Science and Public Administration aims to maximize the​ standart of knowledge with the courses offered in line with the interests of students, as well as improving their administrative skills. At the same time, our program tries to provide students with new perspectives in understanding the nature of political, administrative, economic, social or cultural issues/problems in daily life and in producing solutions about them.

The Political Science and Public Administration program has been expanded and enriched with the main courses of programs such as economics, business, management information systems and international relations, as well as the main courses of the program. In addition, elective courses for students' interests also constitute an important part of the program.

Our Aim

The aim of the Political Science and Public Administration is to provide students with the necessary philosophical and scientific background to enable them to analyze events in Turkey and the world, and to find solutions to problems. In other words, it is aimed to give students the ability to comprehend the facts from the perspective of political science and public administration. In the courses conducted according to scientific principles, knowledge standart of the students is maximized, and the administrative skills that a manager should have are also tried to be gained. In addition to all these, it is also aimed to provide the students of the program with the necessary knowledge and abilities to conduct interdisciplinary research and work.
