Our Department Chair, Prof. Dr. Mahmut Bozan, has transferred his position to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer Baykal due to reaching the mandatory retirement age limit. Prof. Dr. Mahmut Bozan will continue his academic career as a faculty member.

At the handover ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. Metin Saban, presented Prof. Dr. Mahmut Bozan with a certificate of appreciation and conveyed his best wishes in recognition of his valuable contributions to our department and faculty.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer Baykal, who assumed the position of Department Chair, expressed his gratitude to Prof. Dr. Mahmut Bozan for his contributions to the department and presented him with a commemorative plaque. Additionally, on behalf of the members of our department, Res. Asst. Dr. Leyla Çiftçi presented Prof. Dr. Mahmut Bozan with a gift.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Mahmut Bozan stated that he has served in the public sector for 51 years and emphasized that the aspirations of young academics will carry academia further forward. He noted that they embarked on this journey with a limited group of colleagues and highlighted that the department’s academic staff has grown stronger over time, gaining a solid institutional identity.

During the meeting, faculty members shared their memories and best wishes for Prof. Dr. Mahmut Bozan.

On this occasion, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to our esteemed professor, Prof. Dr. Mahmut Bozan, who has served our department and faculty for many years as both an academic and an administrator, and wish him a healthy and productive academic life.
